Just a step from the
delightful Place de la Contrescape with a choice of characterful bars and cafés,
and the Rue Mouffetard, especially well known by Parisians for its lively
restaurants, cafés and pictureque daily street market. The Rue Monge close by has
plentiful shops, supermarket, and there is a market on the Place Monge three days a
week. This is a classified area of particular architectural interest, delightful
cobbled streets and alleys to explore, with many original medieval façades to admire.
The Boulevard St Michel, the Sorbonne, Panthéon, Musée de Cluny,
Boulevard St Germain, the Roman Arènes de Lutèce are but some of the interesting
place to visit within easy walking distance. A really good location - around 5 mins. by
metro direct to the Marais, the Ile St Louis, not much more to the
Louvre, Ile de la Cité, Notre Dame etc. Both apartment and quartier proving
very popular with families.
Our apartment is in a 1960's building, which means it benefits from a
purpose built elevator amongst other things! The apartment is on the 5th floor with a
balcony and panoramic rooftop view over Paris. A mixture of comfortable modern and
antique, some nice killim rugs, the furnishings are designed for comfortable family
living.
- Carpeted throughout, the wide entrance hall, which doubles as a dining area,
leads directly into the spacious light comfortable living room with comfortable
chairs, double sofabed, TV, and full length balcony. Bedroom 1 and
2 (quite small but quiet), each with two single beds, are off the hall. Good modern
tiled bathroom with tub and shower attachment. Separate WC. Well equipped Kitchen,
with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and standard oven. Good cupboard
space. Heat and hot water controlled centrally by the building. Initial linen
supplied. Local line telephone.
